Musica Disciplina is an annual yearbook that publishes significant articles dealing with source studies, edition making, and other musicological issues. Accepted articles are sometimes the direct by-products of editorial work on AIM volumes, but contributions from other scholars are accepted for publication. An international editorial board led by Paul L. Ranzini now governs MD. |

The volumes in this series present a nearly complete collection of polyphonic music from the 14th to the early 17th centuries. Editions of the collected works of trecento composers, French and Italian masters, and Flemish composers form the nucleus of the series, and these works are complemented by volumes of compositions by Spanish masters, partly monophonic repertories from the 13th and 14th centuries, and complete editions from selected important codices. The list of names of composers in this series includes nearly all of the significant composers of the era, composers such as Machaut, La Rue, de Wert, Dufay, Willaert, Clemens, Brumel, Gombert, Rore, G. Gabrieli, Comp�re, Agricola, Arcadelt, Corteccia, Merulo, Sermisy, Manchicourt, Crecquillon, Isaac, Marenzio, Richafort, Rossi, and Romero. |

The fifty volumes of CSM present music treatises written from the 11th to the 16th centuries, treatises that often refer to the compositions that appear in the CMM series. Not every study of early music will fit into one of the clearly defined series published by the Institute, and this series is dedicated to present the best musicological work that might not otherwise be published, including collections of essays. To date, the series has published the collected theoretical works of Rameau, as well as early compositions in monodic style. Miscellanea is also the host to excellent collections of essays around a specific theme or in honor of the work of a particular scholar. |
